Jeanette, Lisa, and Larry's blog

That's the latest. She took a strawberry from my fruit salad and ate the tip. she likes the tip and sides, the rest she can do without. She also loves blueberries. In all forms. Jury's still out on pineapple. Not thrilled with the cantelope.

Jeanette has also discovered the playground. She likes the little tunnels to crawl through. She crawls up the slide(with mommy's help) then slides down. Who needs that pesky ladder thing?

You know those boys at the playground who run a little wild? They make a lot of noise. They play with the equipment a little too rough.

Yeah. well, I swear Jeanette's eyes sprout little cartoon hearts every time she sees one of them. She takes my by the finger and tries to follow them everywhere they run and jump. This is one case where I'm kinda glad she's still feeling a little dependant with the walking thing. Yeah, I think we're in trouble.

Meanwhile I got my first sunburn of the season. Ouch.

Yup, was actually inspired to houseclean. Jeanette had fun chasing the roomba around for a bit. the poor roomba. battery's almost dead. we're giving it quite the workout recently. Also took off the couch cushions and dustbusted the scary universe in there. Jeanette decided she liked the loveseat without cushions thank you and felt it was the perfect toy to practice her walking skills. I did take a littlemovie of this and will let all know when it's on you tube. Tellin ya, take the cushions off your couch, line the floor next to the couch with the cushions and your toddler gets her own personal moon bouncer. Considering moon bouncers rent for $200 not a bad deal.

Also Jeanette likes to dance to "Tiny Dancer". Didn't get that on film though. sorry.

One aside...is it just me or do diaper genies look like the Daleks from Dr Who?

"My Life" by the Beatles. Heard it on Scott Muney's Beatle Block (I know, he's no longer with us but the Beatle Block lives on...like Keith Richards) this afternoon as Jeanette and I hung out in the car waiting for a friend. Just feeling mushy romantic today.

Hi. Hope evrybody had a wonderful easter, pesach, passover, spring equinox, etc. We had a nice week although Jeanette and I were home for most of it because the poor thing had a cold, croup and an ear infection. We had fun taste testing crayons(leap frog green is her favorite) and playing cat and mouse with the roomba (it's not a bad way to keep the floors clean but you have to take out the dust buster for the serious stuff)

Here are some holiday highlights:

1) Grandpa Diamond led the seder and put on a puppet show for Jeanette at the same time.

2) Larry and I were able to keep kosher all week on our passover leftovers.

3) I'm the only person I know who likes macaroons (although I did see Jeanette eat half of one at temple)

4) We colored easter eggs on easter so now I have lunch for the week. Jeanette also likes easter eggs, just in small doses.

5) Jeanette likes dancing to the radio. particularly to Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell"
(no, I'm not worried...why?)

6) I told my poor mom to make chicken as well as the ham she was prepared to make for easter, then ate the ham anyway (what? it was good)

7) Jeanette loves scaling up and down the stairs. I think we're ready for Mcdonalds playland.

8) The macaroons are no longer in the easter basket because I just polished them off while updating this blog. Same goes for the cadbury creme eggs.

9) I got a real nice hibiscus from my mom for easter..it smells real pretty and I hope I can keep it alive long enough to plant on mothers day (if it doesnt snow on mothers day...you never know)

10) The mac my wonderful husband bought me for my birthday is really neat for pictures and fonts. It's also really fast. It took 14 years but I am a mac person now. Yay.

So that's about it. will let you know when the new pictures and the seder puppet show have been uploaded.

I just came in from walking Jeanette and passed by a house with a wreath that said "Happy Everything". Now that's one way to certainly have all your bases covered. Could probably leave it up all year long if you like. Though you'd probably get bored after a while.
I can't believe it. We got all the food for passover. We have the dishes ready. The house is, well, cleaner than it has been.
Jeanette has discovered going up and down the stairs. She likes it. It's fun. And I go with her. I can now spend my days walking up and down the stairs. Who needs the elliptical trainer. I have Jeanette.
As an added bonus, If I want her to take a nap I go for a 45 minute walk. Otherwise she won't nap til she drops.
